Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) Nursing in a hospital setting. This role involves floating across multiple units within the hospital, providing specialized care to diverse patient populations. The position requires demonstrating expertise in cardiac monitoring, interpreting telemetry strips, and managing cardiac drips, with a focus on acute care environments.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location. Experience as a traveler nurse is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours, TR Band experience, and proficiency in performing cardiac drips and reading telemetry strips.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to work across 8 different units within the hospital.
- Additional Information: The selected candidate will be responsible for caring for a diverse patient demographic, including emergency department border patients, mental health medication patients, and transfer-ready non-vented ICU patients. Units range from 8 to 41 beds, with patient ratios up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
