Registered Nurse / Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nursing Specialist in a behavioral health setting at a healthcare facility. This position involves providing patient care within a psychiatric unit, focusing on individuals with mental health conditions. The role is based in a facility that offers comprehensive behavioral health services and includes a sizable adolescent psychiatric population.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year experience in behavioral health, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MOAB certification, experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.
  • Floating: Flexibility to float to Auburn Adult or Gero units may be required.
  • Call: No call responsibilities.
  • Weekend Rotation: Typically every other weekend, with Saturday-Sunday considered weekend for days shifts and Friday-Saturday for night shifts.
  • Ratios support on unit: 1 mental health technician (MHT), LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), with ratios of 1:7 or 8 during days and 1:10-12 during nights.
  • Scrub Color: Any color is acceptable as long as the attire does not contain offensive words or images.
  • Additional Information: This position involves working in a Level II Trauma Center with 26 adolescent psychiatric beds, providing critical mental health services to a diverse patient population.
