Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse opportunity located in Madison, WI. This position involves working in a fast-paced, 28-bed medical-surgical unit with a focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients. The role includes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, utilizing state-of-the-art technology, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN license or compact RN license, BLS certification (American Heart Association), minimum of two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years, Epic electronic charting system experience, and telemetry test certification prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, prior telemetry monitoring experience, and familiarity with adult and geriatric patient care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units or downtown based on operational needs.
• Additional Information: Travelers must pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria in two attempts, including identification of lethal rhythms and correct responses to specific heart rhythm questions. The minimum experience requirement is two years of acute care in the relevant specialty within the last three years. The position requires passing a pass/fail telemetry exam before start. The job involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as COPD, heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, infections, and post-surgical recovery, including bariatric, orthopedic, neurospinal, and wound care procedures. Transportation and parking are provided.
