Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurses are invited to join a dynamic inpatient unit specializing in neurological care. Located at a major medical facility, this role involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse neuro diagnoses, including post-surgical cases for spine, brain tumors, and craniotomies. The position offers an opportunity to enhance skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin registered nurse (RN) license or a valid compact license, at least two years of recent acute care experience in a neuro or medical-surgical setting, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and Epic electronic health record experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro patient populations such as multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and trauma; additional certifications are a plus.
• Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association, RN license.
• Additional Information: Candidates must pass a telemetry interpretation test prior to start, with two attempts allowed. The test assesses the identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole, with a passing score of 80% or higher. The assignment requires floating as needed within the organization. Local candidates are not accepted; the position is limited to those residing within 50 miles of the facility. Candidates will need to submit a certificate of completion for cardiac interpretation review if they fail the initial tests.
