Job Summary:
Orthopedic Medical Surgical Nurse (MS ORTHO) in a general orthopedic surgical unit. This role involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient conditions, serve as a primary coordinator for multidisciplinary teams, and assist with discharge planning. The position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Nursys License/License/Certificate Verification, professional profile, and three professional references. Candidate must have 0 years of experience or more.

- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The department is a 28-bed unit serving the general orthopedic surgical adult population with telemetry capability. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. The unit is supported by patient care technicians and a healthcare unit coordinator. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring and telemetry monitoring is available.
