Job Summary:
Medical/Surgical Floor in Neenah, WI. This position involves providing compassionate and skilled patient care on a 5th-floor medical/surgical unit. The assignment emphasizes emergency response, patient support, and coordination with healthcare team members to ensure quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, with shifts starting at 5:30 a.m.
  • Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) License, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 3 years of RN experience, and 1 previous travel contract. EPIC charting experience within the last year is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Resilience, effective change management skills, strong work ethic, and sociability.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within the facility and to all ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius.
  • Additional Information: The role includes patient care for medical/surgical cases, COVID-19 units, pre-post catheterization, post-pacemaker, and Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS) bands. Experience with pediatric patients is rare. Patient ratios are 1:5-6, with RN and support staff (LPN/CNA) based on acuity. The position involves holiday rotation as needed. Orientation is 8 hours and may be unpaid. Levels of support and responsiveness are essential.
