Registered Nurse / Operating Room Surgery Center

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Operating Room Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its team in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role involves serving as an integral member of a multispecialty surgical team, managing perioperative patient care, and assuming responsibility for the management of the assigned operating room. The position offers opportunities to circulate during procedures and scrub in a variety of surgical cases, primarily on the day shift.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin RN license or qualified compact RN license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the operating room or surgery center setting
  • Experience operating in inpatient or ambulatory surgery environments is required. Candidates must have hands-on experience with multispecialty procedures, including abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, breast augmentation, colonoscopy, and other listed surgical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in charting systems (Epic preferred), patient management, and surgical support techniques
  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Additional Information:
    • Travelers may be required to float as needed.
    • Location is within a Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsins #1 hospital, recognized nationally as a leading teaching and referral center.
    • Inpatient RN travelers must have at least two years of recent acute care experience in the specialty they are submitting to.
    • Pass/Fail testing with strict criteria is required, including a telemetry exam prior to start.
    • The assignment begins on 10/05/2026 and concludes on 01/04/2027.
