Registered Nurse / Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in the healthcare organizations facility in Plano, TX. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The successful candidate will utilize their clinical skills and knowledge to assess, monitor, and support patient recovery, ensuring safe and effective transitions through the postoperative phase.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts per week, with one weeknight on call per week from 2030 to 0700; two 24-hour on call shifts within each 6-week scheduling period.
  • Certifications/Degrees/Experience: Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), with a minimum of 3 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) experience.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, 3 years of PACU experience, and a valid state license in Texas.
  • Additional Information: The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to swiftly respond to changing patient conditions. The facility operates with a patient ratio of 1:2 in the PACU setting and values compassionate, patient-centered care.
