Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) position available in the emergency department of a healthcare facility. This role involves providing urgent, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, including triaging, administering emergency treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with the opportunity to work long shifts to cover 24/7 emergency services.

Job Details:

• Location: Not specified
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; current RN license in the State of Oregon; ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications; desired: BSN degree; CRASE training if assignment extends beyond 6 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical experience, certifications specific to area of clinical specialty.
• Additional Information: The ER RN will conduct patient assessments, triage, administer emergency treatments, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the medical team. Responsibilities include documentation, patient education, responding to emergency codes, advocating for patients, adhering to infection control protocols, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Ability to work long shifts in high-stress situations and handle multiple stimuli is essential.
