Registered Nurse / Recovery Room Pediatrics

Job Summary:
Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nursing opportunity in a pediatric-focused healthcare environment. The position involves providing independent peri-anesthetic management of complex surgical and procedural pediatric patients, with a varied caseload of inpatient and outpatient cases. The role requires delivering high-quality recovery care in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to pediatric patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/12/2026 to 02/08/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or a compact RN license, at least 2 years of pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience within the last 3 years, Epic electronic charting system experience, BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association, and the ability to pass Telemetry interpretive test prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, pediatric patient acuity or trauma level I experience, and additional hospital or community hospital experience.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, Wisconsin RN or valid compact RN license.
• Additional Information: The role requires floating as needed, with a local rule of 50 miles from the facility. Candidates must successfully pass a Telemetry test with strict criteria, including two attempts to identify lethal rhythms with an 80% passing score. The position involves caring for pediatric patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents, in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center featuring Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU.
