Registered Nurse / Intermediate Care Unit

Job Description

Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. The role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, and provide health teaching and counseling to patients. Responsibilities include executing delegated medical functions, monitoring therapy and treatment plans, and documenting patient care in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends. This role requires working a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree of Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred), current RN license for the state of practice or an RN license recognized via a Compact Agreement, valid BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intermediate Care Unit is preferred.
  • Additional Information: The RN may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on operational needs. On-call duties may be assigned during scheduled shifts, to be discussed during the interview.
