Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and following established clinical protocols to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing urgent patient needs with critical thinking and compassion.
Job Details:
- Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license; RN Education Verification; BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); certification in either TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TNS.
- Schedule: Day shift with rotation weekends; shifts available are typically 12-hour days, with some shifts extending from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. as needed. Minimum hours per week: 36.
- Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for emergency patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws. Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care. Develops and initiates individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Uses clinical expertise to support patient care continuity and escalates concerns regarding patient safety or experience appropriately. Engages in professional nursing development activities and peer review processes.
