Job Summary
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in a hospital setting. This role involves supporting a busy surgical unit with a focus on general surgery, GYN, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, plastics, burn, urology, and podiatry procedures. The position requires maintaining sterile techniques and assisting surgical teams to ensure efficient operative workflows.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours shift duration, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified Operating Room Technician certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 1 year of relevant experience, ability to work in a hospital environment, and must meet the minimum experience requirement.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics programs, familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system, and prior experience in busy surgical units.
- Additional Information: Support staff will assist with a wide variety of general and specialized surgical procedures. Ability to adapt to rotating on-call shifts, which typically average 2 eight-hour shifts per month, is preferred.
