Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in an adult and pediatric emergency department. Located in a high-volume, level I trauma facility, this role involves providing high acuity nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will be responsible for managing adult and pediatric patients, including handling admission work for boarded patients, and may be required to float within the facility as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/03/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or Compact state license, a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in emergency nursing, including level I trauma experience, disaster or high-acuity care, and prior travel experience in a level 1 trauma facility. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training are required prior to start. Must pass an EKG exam during orientation. Prior electronic medical record (EMR) experience with Cerner is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience in a level 1 trauma facility and experience handling admission work for boarded patients.
  • Additional Information: Must be able to handle adult and pediatric emergency cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Will work every other weekend or alternating weekends and holidays as needed. Scrub colors are royal blue. May be required to float within the facility based on operational needs.
