Registered Nurse / Intermediate Care Unit

Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) care is needed at the facility. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring moderately complex assessments and therapies. The role emphasizes clinical excellence within a high-acuity, fast-paced environment focused on patient-centered care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NV RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, a minimum of 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience including vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management. Candidates must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, including rhythm strip interpretation. Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical or Neuro ICU experience preferred.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be asked to float to different units within their competency level. Availability to work major holidays, with the requirement to pick up an additional shift during each 4-week schedule period, is necessary. The organization reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty if census is low. The environment is extremely busy and fast-paced, serving a large regional area with Level II Trauma Center designation and stroke accreditation.
