Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department. This role involves providing care to all age groups with a focus on stroke and STEMI patient management, along with bedside procedures and transport duties. The position requires flexibility to meet the needs of a busy emergency setting and adherence to critical protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with availability to work at least 6 of the 7 days in a scheduled cycle.
  • Required Qualifications: 1.5 years of emergency room experience (preferably 2 years), active ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications, Epic electronic medical records experience highly preferred, valid state license (compact license acceptable), candidate must be open to working weekends and holidays, and able to float between units.
  • Preferred Qualifications: TNCC and CEN or CPN certifications.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between units including ICU and TELEMTRY.
  • Additional Information: The facility is a Magnet-designated, stroke and STEMI center with approximately 230 patient visits per day, 36 beds, and overflow units. High acuity care and bedside procedures are standard, with potential transport duties for imaging and other diagnostics. Candidates must be able to meet the high-volume demands and comply with protocol-stopping requirements for stroke and STEMI.
