Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position is based in a hospital setting. The role involves coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a focus on critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. This position supports a collaborative, high-acuity environment with a team of healthcare professionals.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 7:45 pm to 7:15 am, 36 hours per week, all night shifts. Every other weekend and rotating holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license in the state of North Carolina or a compact state, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, and no minimum years of experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of experience working as a registered nurse in an acute care or inpatient hospital setting.
- Responsibilities: Administers patient care under physician supervision, develops care plans, documents patient responses, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, assesses discharge needs, and communicates with patients and families. Promotes a safe and infection-free environment, completes competency assessments annually, and adheres to hospital policies.
- Additional Information: Requires the ability to work within a highly collaborative ICU team, manage complex medical cases, and utilize clinical judgment to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment.
