Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a clinical setting. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety. This role involves assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), 0 years of experience required, active nursing license, and completion of nursing education from an accredited program
- Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within eight hours of patient admission, participates in patient rehabilitation programs, initiates discharge planning from the day of admission, and documents all assessments and interventions accurately and timely. Demonstrates leadership by supervising ancillary nursing staff, participating in team activities, and assuming charge responsibilities after orientation. Maintains ongoing professional development and prioritizes activities to meet patient needs effectively.
