Job Summary:
Home Healthcare RN (Registered Nurse) Wausau, Wisconsin. This contract position involves providing home health nursing services within the facility`s designated territory. The role requires flexibility in start and end times, consistent with census needs, and involves travel to patient homes primarily within a 25-60 mile radius. The assignment offers guaranteed hours, a rotation that includes every fifth weekend and holiday, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated, compassionate team.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 8 hours days, roughly 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential flexibility based on census and operational needs.
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin or Compact state nursing license, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Valid Drivers license, OASIS certification (preferred), minimum of 2 years of home health experience, prior travel experience required, experience with Oasis documentation and EMR systems such as Epic Remote Client/Remote Care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to approximately 20-25 patients daily, with 4.5 visits on average, varying based on territory and patient census. Daily travel distance typically ranges from 25 to 60 miles. Mileage is reimbursed at the government-approved rate.
  • Responsibilities: Managing Oasis admissions, timely documentation in electronic medical records, coordinating care including physician calls, demonstrating clinical competencies in wound care, IV therapy, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management.
  • Additional Information: The role requires a hard-working attitude, excellent time management, resilience, dependability, accountability, and compassion. Candidates should be social, positive, and adaptable to change. Scrub color for uniform is navy blue. The position is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, with potential for on-call during these times, which includes call back pay if recalled. During flu season, vaccination compliance is mandatory, and masks are required for decliners.
