Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) professionals are sought for a healthcare facility located in Puyallup, WA. This role involves providing specialized surgical support across various procedures with a focus on orthopedics, ENT, vascular, urology, and general surgery. The position offers a dynamic schedule with varied shifts, including 8-hour days and nights, to meet department needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule:
    • 8-hour shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with flexible start times and varied weekly schedule cycles lasting six weeks. Night shifts are 7 on/7 off with 8-hour weekdays and 12-hour weekend nights.
    • Must be available to work 7 days a week unless approved otherwise by the nurse manager.
    • On-call: 4-6 shifts per 6-week cycle with a 30-minute response time. No sleep rooms available.
    • Weekend rotation and holiday work may be required based on department needs.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Valid State license; BLS certification required.
    • Experience with orthopedic, ENT (thyroid), general, GYN, vascular (AV fistulas, femoral-popliteal bypass), urology, or podiatry surgeries.
    • Circulating RN or scrub Surgical Technician experience in the specified procedures.
    • Minimum of 2 years of acute/inpatient OR experience; less than 2 years with strong OR experience may be considered with approval.
    • Competency in EPIC electronic medical record systems.
    • May support other areas such as IR, Cath Lab, OB, GI, and MRI, including collecting vital signs and simple CNA tasks.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Robotics experience with DaVinci or Mazer systems.
    • Flexibility, teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Additional Information:
    • The facility provides scrub attire and free parking.
    • Breaks include 12-hour shifts with 3-15 minute rest breaks and a 30-minute lunch; 8- and 10-hour shifts include 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch.
    • No phone usage is permitted on the unit.
