Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is sought for a medical step-down position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for patients with diverse conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, and more. The position requires clinical expertise in managing complex patient needs on a night shift schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a medical step-down or similar setting, with education credentials meeting licensing requirements, and current eligibility to work in the specified location
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patients presenting sepsis, heart failure, respiratory failure, or similar complex conditions is preferred
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple complex patients, adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, following clinical guidelines, and participating in team-based care initiatives.
