Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Sarasota. This hospital-based role involves providing specialized care in the obstetrical unit, supporting high-risk pregnancies, and assisting with various unit-specific procedures. The position offers an opportunity to work within a patient-centered, team-oriented environment with leadership support available around the clock.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, experience with high-risk obstetrics, proficiency with medication infusions such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate, ability to start IVs, and phlebotomy skills. Knowledge of unit protocols and procedures is essential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), strong teamwork ethic, ability to work independently, and a dependable professional attitude.
• Additional Information: The unit culture emphasizes supportive teamwork that is patient-centered. Leadership support is available during day and night shifts. The role involves transporting patients, utilizing remote telehealth options, and working within a busy obstetrical unit that includes Level III neonatal intensive care.
