Registered Nurse / Intermediate Care Unit

Job Description

Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) nurse in a healthcare facility located in en_US. This position involves providing patient care in an intermediate care setting, supporting unit operations, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols. The assignment spans approximately 13 weeks, with the potential for extension, and requires flexibility to accommodate float team needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); NIHSS certification required prior to start; minimum of 1 year telehealth experience; experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, post cardiac cath; Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable; valid Nursing License for the state or proof of application with applied date, noting that licensing may take 6-8 weeks
  • Additional Information:
    • The RN will be assigned to a float team with a schedule that may include working every other weekend and adjusting to the needs of the unit and patient care
    • Travelers must work two out of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year`s Day/Eve
    • No block schedules for any reason
    • Bi-weekly orientations scheduled on Mondays; next available orientation date will be communicated
    • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
    • Complete all work history information including bed count, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, facility type, etc., in the application
    • Public transportation is not accessible; reliable personal transportation is strongly recommended, and vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
