Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialist position located in the healthcare setting. The role involves working in a cardiovascular operating room environment, performing specialized procedures related to open heart surgeries. The position requires prior experience working in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with a focus on heavy cardiac and operating room experience. The scheduled shift is 12-hour days with varied start times, and some call responsibilities are required.

• Required Qualifications:
  • Certification: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) preferred
  • Education: Not specified
  • Years of Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with heavy cardiac experience required
  • Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Experience working in a CVOR and heavy cardiac or operating room experience required
  • Prior travel experience required

• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a CVOR with heavy cardiac cases
  • Ability to function as core staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with floating to different campuses or units
• Additional Information:
  • Floating to other sister campuses may be required; travelers are prioritized for floating
  • RTO (Request for Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application and will not be approved after submission
  • Hard document deadline for submissions is the Monday prior to the start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
