Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse, specializing in Women & Infants care, is needed for a facility located in the area. This position entails providing high-level obstetric and high-risk patient care, adhering to advanced fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation standards, with responsibilities including staffing charge nurse roles and direct patient care during labor and delivery. The role offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive clinical environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, with every third weekend and holiday rotation. Orientation for two shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Nursys license/certificate verification, professional profile, two professional references, and completion of an Ascension skills checklist. Standard clinical experience includes at least 0 years in labor and delivery, with proficiency in Magnesium, insulin drips, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and advanced external fetal monitoring.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adherence to AWHONN guidelines, capability to float to alternative unit if needed, and familiarity with high-risk obstetric care.
  • Additional Information: The position requires a strong commitment to reliable attendance, with an emphasis on teamwork and coverage without call-ins. The facility follows AWHONN guidelines, maintaining specific staffing ratios during active and early labor stages, and includes roles such as charge nurse and baby nurse.
