Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Description

Job Summary:
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position in a medical and surgical trauma intensive care unit located in a healthcare facility. This role involves delivering direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols, with a focus on critical care management and patient safety.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 6 months of employment; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 1 month of employment; diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing; 0 or more years of nursing experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), trauma (Trauma Nursing Core Course - TNCC, Trauma Center Advanced Recovery - TCAR), Impella, and other advanced ICU procedures.
  • Additional Information: Provides care in a 32-bed medical intensive care unit and a 16-bed surgical trauma ICU. May need to float to other acute care units or emergency department as necessary. Must follow Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment. Utilizes Cerner Powerchart electronic medical records system.
