Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Level III position in a hospital setting. This role entails providing specialized nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity neonates in a Level III NICU environment. The nurse must be experienced in managing infants requiring advanced respiratory support, therapeutic cooling, and invasive device management, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care throughout the infant`s hospitalization.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), 0 years of experience, with strong clinical expertise in caring for high-acuity neonates and therapeutic cooling experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience, additional certifications based on facility policy
  • Additional Information: Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates. Care includes managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, high-flow oxygen, and invasive lines such as central, PICC, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC). Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products. Respond swiftly to neonatal emergencies and participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and provide family support and education. Maintain accurate documentation of care and patient condition throughout the assignment.
