Registered Nurse / Step Down Unit

Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Nurse Nights The organization is seeking a qualified nursing professional to join the step down care team on nights. The role involves caring for patients with a variety of acute conditions, providing stabilization and monitoring in a 30-bed step down unit that floats between critical care service lines. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (Nursys License), professional profile verification, completion of Ascension skills checklist, and at least 0 years of experience in a relevant setting
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP), stable glucose management, and procedures such as AAA repair, lobectomy, carotid endarterectomy (CEA), and management of conditions including NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, arrhythmias, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, post-diabetic ketoacidosis, respiratory failure, and trauma care.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include monitoring patient vital signs, administering treatments as prescribed, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Candidates must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
