Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary:
Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) in a facility setting. The role involves caring for patients in post-surgical management for cardiothoracic, vascular surgeries, and complex interventional procedures. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from open-heart surgery and other cardiac procedures, utilizing advanced monitoring equipment and administering post-operative care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience in critical care or cardiac critical care; previous open-heart recovery experience; at least 1 year of clinical experience; certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); ability to work independently in acute care settings.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Edwards Monitoring, GE Monitoring, SWAN-Ganz catheters; familiarity with procedures such as central line placements, arterial line placements, and chest tube management; knowledge of post-surgical cardiovascular patient management; strong clinical skills in post-operative cardiac care.
• Additional Information: The position requires proficiency in post-operative management of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, administering medications, and performing procedures related to cardiac recovery. Clinical competence in handling complex interventions and critical patient monitoring is essential.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
