Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a Level 2 Obstetrics (OB) and nursery unit. The role involves providing care in various areas including labor, triage, postpartum, and circulating during cesarean sections. This position requires a versatile L&D professional capable of supporting multiple facets of obstetric and neonatal care in a well-equipped unit.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Licensure as a registered nurse; valid nursing license; Professional certification as required by the organization; minimum of 0 years of experience; must meet facility-specific licensing and certification standards
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor and Delivery, triage, postpartum, and circulating during cesarean procedures
  • Additional Information: The role entails assisting with labor, postpartum, triage, and circulatory duties in a Level 2 OB and nursery unit, supporting a team operating in a high-acuity environment. The environment includes 8 labor beds, 12 postpartum rooms, and a special care nursery with 4 beds. Triaging is performed outside labor beds, and nurses will circulate in the obstetrics operating room as needed. Submission requires assessment via Ascension Skills Checklist and verification through Nursys License and Ascension profile.
