Job Summary:
The Social Worker position is located in an adult and pediatric emergency room within a short-term acute care facility that functions as a Level II trauma center. The role involves conducting crisis risk assessments for both adults and children, providing mental health evaluations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care and safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, from 0700 to 1930, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Independent Clinical Social Worker; full licensure required, associate licenses are not acceptable; at least 1 year of relevant experience in mental health and crisis assessment; experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics; hospital experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with mental health illness and substance use disorder patient populations; prior work in emergency or trauma settings; proficient in charting within the Epic system; experience with crisis intervention for teen suicides, drug/alcohol issues, and school violence
• Additional Information: The position may require floating between units or to other facilities if overstaffed; must work every other weekend, including a Saturday and Sunday; may be asked to work day or evening shifts to cover operational needs; candidates should be able to respond effectively to mental health crises and perform risk assessments as directed by medical staff
