Job Description

Job Summary:
A Social Worker position is available in a trauma center setting. This role involves conducting crisis risk assessments for adult and pediatric patients, providing mental health evaluations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and appropriate care. The position requires full licensure and the ability to float between units as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift from 1600 to 0200, with 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid full clinical licensure as a License Social Worker (LICSW) or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in mental health assessments and crisis intervention. Must have experience conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics, and familiarity with hospital emergency settings.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a trauma or emergency department environment is preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working every other weekend, with some opportunity to float to affiliated facilities performing similar duties. Candidates must be comfortable with assessing risk levels for violence, self-harm, or gravely disabled conditions and providing appropriate clinical recommendations.
  • Travel Experience Required: No
  • Certifications: Valid License Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) required.
  • Skills: Crisis risk assessments, behavioral health evaluations, care coordination, patient and family education, emergency department experience, documentation in electronic health records (Epic preferred), and ability to work with vulnerable populations.
  • Community Hospital Experience: Not specified
  • Additional Notes: Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend, including potential holiday shifts. Referencing and background checks are required, with two recent professional references.
