Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in a beachside acute care hospital. This role involves providing care to neonates, adolescents, and adults in a high-volume setting with approximately 200 deliveries per month. The position includes responsibilities such as high-risk pregnancy monitoring, fetal heart rate surveillance, assisting with vaginal deliveries, and performing C-sections when needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, certifications in Advanced Womens Health Nursing (AWHONN) Advanced, Traumatic Nurse Certification (TNC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, working with high-risk antepartum patients, and float to postpartum unit if needed.
• Additional Information: The position requires flexibility to float between labor and postpartum units if necessary. Candidates must be willing to work a block schedule and commit to working three of the five major holidays. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be approved. The facility has interdisciplinary support including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
