Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in a Level III Trauma Center in Marinette, Wisconsin. This role involves providing care to obstetric, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecological patients within a busy unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing laboring women, new mothers, and newborn assessments, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and infant.
Job Details:
- Location: Marinette, Wisconsin
- Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- End Date: 01/09/2027
- Required Qualifications:
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and FHM (Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring) certifications.
- Experience with laboring patients (including labor and delivery), antepartum, postpartum, GYN surgeries, and newborn care.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the specified specialty.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NSTs (Non-Stress Tests), triage patients, and nursery care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role.
- Additional Information:
- The facility utilizes EMR system EPIC, with bedside use of FHM, IV pumps (Alaris), and Pyxis medication dispensing system.
- The unit operates with a 1:1 patient ratio for laboring women and 1:3 for antepartum or surgical patients.
- The organization provides orientation including facility and unit-specific flow training, with at least one shift to learn the layout.
- The nurse will support within the department with charge RN duties and will be involved in patient assessments and care planning.
- The hospital permits RTO approval of up to 7 days.
- Scrub color can be any color; parking is available in designated lines in front of the building or near the ED.
