Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within the medical-surgical specialty, supporting interdisciplinary team efforts, and contributing clinical expertise to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The assignment features day shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or Iowa compact license, BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted), drivers license, at least 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing, ability to float within the same discipline across local campuses, and mandatory reporting experience
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the same discipline across local campuses
• Additional Information: The candidate must have recent supervisory reference documentation completed within the last two years. The organization follows a specific employee separation policy that disqualifies individuals who previously worked travel at the organization in any capacity or who worked travel at a related facility within the past 12 months. Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on drivers license to meet local radius rule. This position is at a Level 3 Trauma Center, with no on-call requirement, and every other weekend schedule.
