Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Neurological

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Neurological specialty position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions, leveraging extensive ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The position requires flexibility to float to Step-Down Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings, ensuring comprehensive patient care across units.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift (12 hours shift), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); graduate of an accredited nursing program; competency in ICU nursing at a Level 1 Trauma Center; willingness to float to Step-Down ICU
• Preferred Qualifications: (None specified)
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The role involves utilizing the nursing process collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, documenting according to standards of care, developing patient care plans, participating in performance improvement activities, and applying critical thinking to patient safety and patient experience.
