Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor nurse position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality inpatient rehabilitation care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The position emphasizes collaborative interdisciplinary support and a focus on recovery and patient education within a dynamic hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 15:30, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027. Float to medical-surgical units as needed; weekend shifts may be required depending on unit needs.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nursing License, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 0 years of experience, and familiarity with electronic charting systems such as Epic.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute inpatient rehab settings, units with high patient turnover, and proficiency in administering blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, nutrition management, and ventilated patient care.
- Additional Information: The role involves patient assessments, care planning, administering medication and treatments, wound care, patient education, and utilization of assistive devices. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social work to enhance patient recovery.
