Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse located in a clinical setting. This role involves providing specialized care to obstetric patients, supporting them through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing high-acuity situations and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour day shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license; at least three years of recent RN experience working in the RN role; at least two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area; certifications in CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) required; skills in therapeutic care, patient care, care planning, nursing process, patient assessment; experience in labor and delivery preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional skills in quality outcomes, patient advocacy, socio-cultural analysis, interdisciplinary collaboration, delegation, care coordination, documentation, educational planning, and adult learning theory
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The position involves assessing obstetric patients, developing individualized care plans, providing age-appropriate interventions, evaluating patient progress, and serving as an advocate for patients and families. Excellent communication and coordination with healthcare team members are essential for ensuring high-quality patient care and positive outcomes.
