Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) nursing position located in an unspecified city. This role involves providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population with a focus on med surg and telemetry units. The position requires flexibility to float across multiple campuses and adapt to changing unit needs, emphasizing teamwork and a positive attitude.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Iowa or multistate nursing license; 24 months of recent experience in Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical Telemetry; proficiency in caring for all patient types; experience with Heparin; skills in telemetry/cardiac nursing; BLS certification from AHA or ARC; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; must have completed at least one travel contract within the last 18 months; work history/resume must reflect 24 months of relevant experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Recent Charge Nurse or Precepting experience highly preferred; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Additional Information: Orientation scheduled for 10/5/2026; NBO (New Hire Orientation): 16 hours; holiday work required unless the unit is closed; no first-time travelers accepted; must have an active Iowa or multistate license; will be required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran.
