Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a Level III Trauma Center located in Texas. This full-time position involves night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, providing both routine and complex surgical nursing care across a wide range of specialties including neuro, spine, ortho, robotic, vascular, and general surgeries. The role requires the ability to practice independently, manage contingencies, and coordinate care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 2 years of experience in operating room or related nursing specialty preferred; RN license in the state of Texas or with a compact license; BLS required (AHA only); ACLS required (AHA only); PALS required (AHA only)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level III Trauma Center, 2 years of relevant clinical experience
• Responsibilities: Provide independent nursing care utilizing the nursing processassessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation; administer medications and treatments according to protocol; monitor for side effects; document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care; assess learning needs; provide patient and caregiver education; make appropriate care assignments and delegations; demonstrate awareness of psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families; manage contingencies in a high-acuity environment.
• Additional Information: Position is vacant due to previous staff departure; top permit opportunity with WOW incentives for weekend night shifts for permanent associates.
