Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in a specialized obstetrics setting located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing holistic, patient-centered care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe, effective outcomes. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support high-risk obstetric patients and uphold quality standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (Nights) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license; at least three years of recent RN experience working in an RN role; at least two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area; CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification, and Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) department, triage experience, strong patient care and care planning skills, proficiency in nursing process, patient assessment, therapeutic care, educational planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Additional Information: The RN will assess the needs of patients and families, develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluate patient progress, and act as a patient advocate. Responsibilities include delegation, care coordination, documentation, and fostering effective communication among healthcare team members.
