Registered Nurse / Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare setting located in the area. The role involves providing post-operative recovery care for patients, including assessing, monitoring, and managing patients` conditions following anesthesia procedures. This assignment is scheduled for nights, with a focus on patient safety and recovery in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, Sunday through Friday, with NO Saturdays, and a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for Maryland or a Compact license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; 0 years of experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior patient care experience within Post Anesthesia Care Units or ICU/Critical Care settings, familiarity with Epic charting system, and experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway management, and ventilated patient care
  • Float: May be required within the specialty, ICU/critical care, including to sister hospitals as needed
  • Additional Information: All candidates must complete onboarding within 72 hours of contract signing; compliance documentation is due 5 days prior to start date; candidates must be comfortable floating within scope and working nights; schedule requests or restrictions cannot be guaranteed; and candidates must accept assignments without an interview.
