Registered Nurse / Occupational Employee Health
Job Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Employee Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a healthcare organization located in the area. This role involves conducting health screenings on new hires, administering necessary vaccines to safeguard caregivers, managing blood and body fluid exposure incidents, providing respiratory protection training, and overseeing communicable disease management. The position does not include direct patient care and requires learning and adapting to an in-house electronic health record system, which is different from previous systems used. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/05/2026 and end on 01/25/2027, with a standard workweek of 40 hours.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission); at least 0 years of experience in occupational health nursing; experience with health screenings, vaccinations, blood and body fluid exposure management, respiratory training, and communicable disease protocols; ability to learn the organization`s electronic health record system (EPIC is no longer used); no prior travel experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working at a community hospital or similar facility; familiarity with occupational health procedures and protocols.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year`s Eve, New Year`s Day). All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted during the application process; late or post-approval requests may not be considered. References covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required, including 2 professional contacts such as Charge RNs or Lead RNs. Travel may involve floating between nearby sister facilities, and refusal to float may affect employment. The employer will provide communication devices at no cost; if not provided, the provider reimburses up to $50.00 monthly for work-related mobile phone use.
