Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) The facility is seeking a dedicated RN to provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical setting. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and fostering a positive care environment. The position requires adherence to standards of care and established protocols, with a focus on patient education, safety, and discharge planning.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evening shifts, working 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS certificate; AHA ACLS certification upon hire or within 60 days; minimum of 1-year Med/Surg experience preferred; 1-year Telemetry experience preferred; 1-year Pediatrics experience preferred; valid work authorization in the location.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience on medical-surgical units, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform thorough assessments, administer medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with protocols, interpret patient cardiac rate and rhythm, and utilize pain management devices. Responsibilities include patient education, equipment setup and troubleshooting, and effective documentation and reporting to the healthcare team. Adaptability and a commitment to patient safety are essential.
