Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technician/Operating Rm Tech

Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures is stationed in a rural health setting for a 13-week assignment. This role involves assisting with surgical procedures, preparing sterile supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment to support the operative team. The position offers accommodations depending on availability, with options for self-sufficient apartments close to the facility.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour days/nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma required; one year experience in an operating room as a Surgical Technician or surgical technician training required; certification or eligibility for certification preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
• Additional Information: This role requires assisting with a variety of surgeries, including specialty procedures such as sports medicine and trauma. The technician is expected to create and maintain sterile fields, anticipate equipment needs, and collaborate closely with the surgical team. On-call responsibilities are included.
