Job Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) nursing position located in the local area. This role involves providing specialized care for adult patients with cardiac and telemetry needs, utilizing advanced charting systems and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/13/2026 and end on 01/12/2027, with a focus on quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, and at least 2 years of experience in cardiac or telemetry nursing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system, and previous work in community hospital settings.
  • Patient Age Groups: Adults.
  • Daily Census: 40 patients.
  • Additional Unit Information: Services include pre/post coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), carotid endarterectomy (CEA), Watchman device, and cardiac catheterization/percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
  • Special Equipment: Plum IV pumps.
  • Interdisciplinary Support: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretary.
  • Certifications: Must be uploaded with valid expiration dates. Certifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience required.
  • Onboarding & Compliance: Labs to be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing. 7-year work history verification required. All documents due 10 days prior to the start date.
  • RTO & Holiday Policy: Max RTO of 7 days per contract. Holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, starting at 7:00 PM the night before and ending at 7:00 AM the day after. Only one holiday request allowed per contract.
  • Modules: Non-billable, during orientation, averaging 1-5 hours, recorded through e-learning.
