Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift UF Health Campus. This 13-week assignment involves providing direct patient care within the Medical Surgical unit, with a focus on float coverage among Med Surg units. The role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and experience in fast-paced hospital environments.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour Night Shift, 07:00 PM 07:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Complete at least 2 years of experience as a Med/Surg Float RN; recent experience at a Level 1 trauma facility or academic medical institution preferred. Travel experience required; EPIC EHR experience required; BLS certification required; Florida or compact license must be on file at time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit nurse-to-patient ratio: 6:1
  • Dress code includes navy scrubs, closed-toe shoes, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Interview process involves unit manager interviews.
  • Compliance & onboarding may take up to 14 business days.
  • No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment; maximum of 8 days RTO for the 13-week term.
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination exemptions allowed with documentation; candidates not exempted must complete a vaccination module.
