Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in a night shift position is responsible for providing independent, patient-centered nursing care in a clinical setting. The role involves administering routine and complex treatments, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse applies clinical knowledge to manage contingencies, educate patients and families, and contribute to quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; 1 year of experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing; RN license in the state of Texas or a compact license; BLS certification (AHA); ACLS certification (AHA).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
• Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepting and onboarding are validated through organizational competency assessments, including med surg-specific competency validation and annual competency verification. New licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other orientation activities, with competency completion documented through tracking software.
