Registered Nurse / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized critical care to pediatric patients within a fast-paced and highly regarded hospital setting. The PICU Nurse will work on a days shift schedule, delivering compassionate and expert care to a diverse patient population in a 9-bed unit equipped with modern technology. Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), 1 year of PICU experience, valid nursing license
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with invasive procedures (IV starts, Caths, LPs, central line dressings, ICP monitoring, ventilator management), strong teamwork and communication skills
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes Cerner documentation system. Nurses work with shared tech staff and unit secretaries, with a work schedule that includes every third weekend. The unit fosters a collaborative environment with advanced equipment and new technology, supporting staff tenure and experienced colleagues. Self-scheduling is available.
