Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Appleton, WI. This position involves providing surgical nursing care within a busy operating room setting across various specialties, including gynecology, breast, and orthopedics. The role requires flexibility due to rotating shifts with variable start times, and candidates must have a minimum of three years of OR experience with strong circulator skills.

Job Details:

• Location: Appleton, WI
• Schedule: 8-hour rotating shifts with variable start times of 6:15 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:30 AM, or 1:00 PM; guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with start date on 09/28/2026 and end date on 12/26/2026
• Certifications: Wisconsin RN license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum Education: Associate degree or certificate; preferred bachelor`s degree
• Experience: Minimum three years of operating room experience; previous travel experience strongly preferred depending on individual background
• Charting: Epic charting system experience within the past year required
• Skillset: Extensive circulator experience required with proficiency in managing patient ratios of 1:1; primary cases involve heavy gynecological, breast, and orthopedic surgeries with use of Davinci XI surgical robot
• Schedule and Rotation Details: Every third weekend on call; may work one major holiday. Flexibility required for weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations, with approximately 30-minute response times for call back.
• Float Requirements: Flexibility to float throughout the facility and to all healthcare provider facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed.
• Additional Information: Missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks; orientation includes 8-hour unbillable GSA hours.
• Experience: At least 3+ years of OR experience required; previous travel experience strongly preferred depending upon background.
